Depends on the dog, but most have a bowel movement from 1 to 2 times a day. Many dogs skip a day every now and then. Dogs are like humans in that they need roughage in their diets to make them poo on a regular basis. If your dog isn't regular, then you can feed it a tablespoon or two of canned pumpkin or squash per day with their regular meals. This is especially good for dogs who get mostly a meat diet.

You can also feed them carrots and other garden vegetables for roughage. Do NOT feed your dog foods that are poison to them like grapes, pistachios, or chocolate, to name a few.

Bowel movement frequency varies from person to person, and changes throughout their lifecycle. Typically, a healthy human's range should be anything between three times a day to once every three days according to WebMD.

How long should you stimulate the puppy to poo?

If it has a mother that is taking care of it, she will do that. If not, you can use a warm (NOT HOT) wet washcloth and wipe the puppy's anus to stimulate the bowel movement. It should only take a short time, half a minute or so at the most. But you may have to repeat it several times a day until the puppy is having regular bowel movements if there is no mother dog to take care of it.

Does big poop stretch out your anus permanently or does it revert back to normal?

Having a large bowel movement a few times will not injure the anus permanently. However you might get a fissure (a small cut) around the anus that may bleed a little. This is usually nothing to worry about.

What is the dosage of laxative drops for 3 week old infant?

It is normal for a young baby to have a bowel movement several times a day or as little as once a week. In rare cases, there can be up to three weeks between bowel movements. A young baby should only be given a laxative if he or she is bothered by the long intervals between bowel movements. Breastfed babies usually have frequent bowel movements until they are two to three months old. Their stools are typically yellow.

How long from eating until that meal is defacated?

It varies. Some individuals have a very rapid and pronounced gastrocolic reflex (the reflex that stimulates your colon to begin defecation after your stomach has encountered a meal), while others have less efficient reflexes. In my opinion, the gastrocolic reflex of some individuals is effectively useless, as it does not stimulate the bowel sufficiently to trigger a bowel movement anywhere near the time of a meal. Keep in mind that the normal range for bowel movement frequency is anywhere between three times a day to once ever three weeks. A BOWEL MOVEMENT ONCE IN THREE WEEKS IS NOT NORMAL. IT IS CONSTIPATION. IN YOUR DAILY LIFE OF HABIT (E.G. NOT TRAVELING), ONE SHOULD BE POOPING NO LESS THAN ONCE A DAY.

Your husband has a bowel movement five times a day is this normal sometimes there is blood shoud we be concerned I think we should he says no?

Be very concerned. Blood in the stool is a sign of possible colon cancer. There are other possible causes too, but it bears further checking.

What is the remedy for 3 times a day diarrhea since 1 year?

It is not banana and white bread - these are likely to exacerbate rapid bowel movement and irritate the bowel. Eggs, high-protein and high-fibre foods will help. You should see your doctor if symptoms have been ongoing this long. You may have IBS (which is not life-threatening, and can be controlled), but it is a good idea to rule out something more serious.

Is a dime toxic to humans if they ingest it?

A dime is not toxic to humans if they ingest it. Most times, the dime will come out when you make a bowel movement. A dime is usually small enough to swallow but could still pose a potential choking hazaard. It is also possible it could cause a bowel obstruction.
