A Catholic may receive Communion twice in one day or three times under certain conditions: Let's say a person attends a Saturday morning Mass and later in the day attends a wedding. The person can receive communion at both Masses. If the same person then attends the Saturday evening anticipated Mass, he/she is free to receive again as that Mass counts as the Sunday obligation.

Catholic AnswerYes, if circumstances are such that you must attend a Mass, you may receive Holy Communion at a second time only if it is at a Mass and you have been there for the entire Mass. So, if you received Holy Communion outside of Mass (a Communion Service, individual Holy Communion, or Communion for the sick, and later that day you attend Mass) or if you attended another Mass earlier on the same day. You may not receive Holy Communion the second time outside of a Mass you have attended. You may not receive Holy Communion a third time, normally, in the same day.

Yes, it is perfectly okay to receive communion twice per day in the Catholic Church but no more than twice. However, let us say a person attends mass at 8:00 AM and then again a funeral or wedding mass later in the day. Then that person assists at an evening anticipated Mass to comply with the Sunday obligation. That person could receive again as the Church considers that to be a Sunday mass.

Catholics are allowed to receive Communion twice a day, as long as the second time is in the context of a Mass. I am posting a link to what else the Church says on this topic.

You should only receive it once, even if you go to mass more than once. It is not completely wrong to receive it more than once though.

Is it wrong for a catholic divorcee to receive communion?

no. when you get divorced, it is a sin, as is many other things. If you go to Confession and you are truly sorry, then God forgives all sins.Another Answer:If the Roman Catholic Church has annulled the marriage then its not a sin. Under these conditions a Catholic divorcee can receive the Holy Communion.

What if a non Catholic is taking holy communion how different is it from Catholic?

I am assuming you mean how different is communion in a non-catholic church vs. Holy Communion in a Catholic Church? In that instance, Holy Communion in a Catholic Church is, literally, the Body and Blood of Our Blessed Savior; brought about through the direct intervention of the Holy Spirit working through the priest who pronounces the words of consecration. For a Catholic to receive Holy Communion in a state of grace confers more grace through fulfilling Our Blessed Lord's command to eat His Body and drink His Blood. For a non-Catholic or a Catholic in a state of mortal sin to receive Holy Communion is to eat condemnation as St. Paul points out "and this is why many of your are ill and dying"

Can a Catholic receive commat sat mass and again at a sat mass?

What do you mean by a "sat mass" and what do you mean by"commat". I can only infer that sat means Saturday and commat means communion so I might get the question wrong because of the question's unclearness. Yes, it is not sinful to receive communion many times, but my priest said that you should only receive Holy Communion two times or less. I have not heard this straight from Father, but I have heard my friend tell me.

How many times do Catholics receive Eucharist?

If they are not in a state of serious sin, Catholics may receive communion every time they assist at Mass for a maximum of twice per day. However, if a Catholic receives communion twice during the day on Saturday and then go to the anticipated Mass on Saturday evening, they may receive a third time since that is considered a Sunday Mass.

Can a divorced Catholic receive communion if not remarried in the Catholic church?

In the Catholic Church, if you haven't attempted another marriage without the previous marriage being determined to be invalid and are not living with someone that you are not married to, you can.

Can a man whose wife is not Catholic receive communion?

Yes, as long as you are not in a state of mortal sin. To be able to receive Holy Communion worthily one must not be in mortal sin, believe that the consecrated bread and wine are really the Body and Blood of Christ, and have fasted for one hour before receiving Holy Communion. If your wife is not Catholic, she may not receive Holy Communion, but you can. The above is absolutely true within the Catholic Church. However you can both receive communion if you attend a non-catholic Church (such as an Anglican Church) as Anglicans recognise any communicant member of any other denomination as having the right to receive communion within their own church.

Can anyone receive Communion at a Catholic funeral?

Anyone can technically receive Communion, but that is not the way it is supposed to work. You have to be a Catholic first of all, and before anyone receives Communion they are supposed to ask for forgiveness of their sins from God. Catholics believe that you have to ask for forgiveness as well as perform an assigned penance from a priest. Not many Catholics follow this tradition however. Only Catholics in the state of grace - that is, free of mortal sin on their conscience - may receive Communion at a Catholic funeral. Often, as mentioned above, attendees of the funeral feel compelled to go to Communion as an expression of social solidarity, however, reception of the sacrament is not an essential part of participation in a funeral Mass and Communion should not be approached if one is a non-Catholic, or conscious of mortal sin upon one's own soul. To receive while in mortal sin is to commit a grave sacrilege. If one is Catholic and wishes to receive but thinks themselves in mortal sin, it is best to request the sacrament of Confession from a priest before the ceremony. It is highly encouraged to receive the Holy Eucharist, especially in order to offer it for the repose of the deceased.

Can a Protestant receive communion in a Catholic church?

Catholic Answer No. First of all, Methodists do not have the Eucharist, they have a memorial service that they commemorate the Last Supper but they do not believe that it actually is the Body and Blood of Christ. Secondly, any real, active participation in a Protestant service in their church is not permitted to a Catholic as we have the fullness of Christ's revelation and we are supposed to be bringing the truth to them and bring them back to the Church, not showing support for error. But they have been baptised, and thus are Christians, so we must show respect and brotherly love, concern, etc.: NOT support for the errors.

If you're not Catholic can you have a Catholic priest bless you during communion?

Yes, because those who cannot recieve communion because they are not confirmed can get a blessing, and I know many people who are not Catholic that have been blessed by a Catholic priest.

Can a non-Catholic receive Holy Communion at a Catholic service?

Generally, the answer is no. However, certain circumstances may allow for it. 1) Roman Catholics who do not have access to a Roman Catholic Mass may receive communion from Orthodox churches. How many times can you take communion in one day?

Once ... that isTake this example. You attend Mass daily. You receive at the morning Mass on a Saturday. [You may only receive once a day]. A friend has died, and you wish to show sacramental union with the family - it is a different liturgy, you may receive. Another friend had scheduled a nuptial Mass that same afternoon, you many receive - it is a different liturgy. You weren't invited to the reception, so you decide to take advantage of the Vigil Mass that evening. You may receive - it is a different liturgy. On Sunday, your family wants you to go to Mass with them... but you already went .... You may receive. It is a different day.Correction:A Catholic may receive the Eucharist twice in a day under normal circumstances, or three times under one particular circumstance. Let's say you attend 8:00 morning Mass on a Saturday and receive communion. Later that day you attend a Catholic funeral or wedding. You are allowed to also receive at that Mass. If you attend the anticipated Mass that evening to fulfill your Sunday obligation you may also receive Communion.
