It's a constant battle if all you are doing is dipping them. It's better to get a product like Frontline or Advantix to combat the problem forever. I've found that you don't have to use those products as often as the packaging claims. Every few months is enough. If you are dipping the dog, you are applying toxins to their entire body every few weeks, and still not really taking care of the problem.

This will depend upon what type of lifestyle your dog has. A hunting or sporting dog that is in the wilderness frequently may need to be dewormed monthly, or after hunting season is over. In contrast, a house dog that only goes outside for walks and to relieve himself may never need to be dewormed after he finishes growing.
