The fifth one it says"Honor your father and your mother
The Bible does not tell us honor our father and mother on a specific day; we are to always honor them. I would rather have my children honor me out of love and respect daily rather on a specific day because they feel it is the thing to do. Exodus 20:12; Ephesians 6:2, 3 As the person above notes there is a difference between honor as in respecting, and honor as in worshipping. Mothers/Fathers Day have become one of those days where it is expected that you give a gift to show your love. Why not do that everyday in different ways, rather than on just the day society dictates? Another reason we don't celebrate Mother/Father Days is due to the history of the holiday and the rituals that tend to go with it.
We can't be grown in a uterus without a mother, therefore we wouldn't exist. The Holy Bible states to honor your mother and your father, meaning respect them. Your mom loved you enough to give birth to you.
It means that you have to respect and obey your father and mother. They have the power to tell you what to do. They know whats better for you.
