There are very many different types of angels in the Bible; used by God for many different purposes, but I suppose thee are two main types: God's good angels, and the bad angels who follow Satan. But there are more good than bad, as the prophet said to his servant who saw angels And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. Yes, angels do protect us, and particular types of angels have particular assignments, but there is nothing to substantiate the belief that people have specific individual guardian angels during their walk on earth.

The common image of an angel is a human being with wings. This is not Biblical. The Bible presents angels as human beings. The Bible vary rarely describes angels as having wings. However, there are 2 types of angels with wings described in the Bible:Cherubim(Exodus 25:20) and Seraphim(Isiah 6)!!
