I do not exactly know. But I looked at some pictures on Google and they seem to have about 24 whiskers. They also have 12 on each side if you did not know 12 + 12 = 24. Hope this helped! :D

No. Dogs, like horses, cats (and many other felines), etc., use their whiskers as receptors. I disagree with trimming horse whiskers because of this. They are natural, and are used to feel around them subtlely. - Kate

There is no opposite of Whiskers on animals. They are a sense organ and many animals have them. Animals without Whiskers use other senses instead. Beardless
