It's been a while since Philippines had an honest Govt. and its paying off now. The last honest President was Cory Aquino, but hers was a transition-govt. after a long dictatorship regime of Marcos. Ramos was more of the "follow up" President towards normalizing politics. Then Estrada, ruined it with his cheap-shot corruption, ousted by Arroyo. At first they thought Arroyo was good, being the daughter of the President before Marcos in early 60's. Arroyo and her husband were worst than Estrada. They were involved in high-level corruption scheme. Today's President is Noynoy Aquino, son of Nonoy & Cory Aquino. Noynoy have a obligation to his parents which both considered as Modern Day Heroes, that he will run an honest govt. Noynoy is also single. Maybe that is an advantage in this powerful position. Many believed that Marcos fall was caused by his wife Imelda. Same with Pres. Arroyo's husband, who got involved in so many illegal transactions using his power. Estrada in the other hand, had so many mistresses.
