You can start with non-credit business courses through your community college, or choose to take credit courses through the community college, or a four year college or university. Today, it is not like the mom and pop stores of years ago. There is constant and rapid change always occurring and you must be aware of all the internal and external driving forces that affect the way businesses operate in either a positive or negative way. Education today is critical to a successful business. Remember, an entrepreneur is the one who risks all the time, energy, and money that goes along with owning a business. Thus, you want to give yourself every advantage.
