∙ 14y agoThe PhD takes approximately four years to complete post bachelor's degree. The first two years are primarily focused on class contact time. The last two years are typically focused on preparing and defending the dissertation, which is extensive research on an original topic chosen by the student and approved by the designated committee. The length of this process is dependent on the student and how successful the individual is in terms of defending the dissertation.
