One way GM crops may affect biodiversity is through cross pollination with non-GMO and organically grown varieties. Cross pollination could eliminate non-GMO foods over time, and actually, even now no foods that contain corn, soy, canola, and other varieties that have been genetically modified can be guaranteed to be GMO free, not even if they are labeled "100% organic."
