yes .99 is almost a gig .99 is enough
1.9ghz is a bit low to be honest. You should probably be looking for something in and around the 2.5ghz mark and even then, if your budget allows it you could probably go for something around 3ghz. 2 gig of ram is fine. If its XP that's pretty good, you wont have much trouble with that, if its vista its still fine, but it wont be just as good. But 2 gig is fine.
1 Gig
I'm not sure I fully understand your question but I will do my best to answer. You have a 3ghz processor with 1GB of ram. 512mb of ram is enough to run windows XP.
yes RAM helps speed up everything that's on a computer i upgraded from 1 gig to 4 gig RAM on my laptop and i noticed an immediate difference in the entire performance of it
If you were upgrading, it could be that you have a mother board that won't recognize more than 1 gig of ram maximum.
Honestly.. I would advise 2 gigs. Though my laptop isn't the best in the world and has 1 gig and runs fine on it. So at the bare minimum with minimum graphics you can go 1 gig RAM and still run about 21-25 FPS. (no graphic lag)
The one with 1GB of RAM. 512MB is 0.5 of 1GB
"mbs" is speed, not RAM size.
8 gig- $249 16 gig- about $300 32 gig- about $400
Under a third of a gig. only 26.6% of a GB
Yes !
