8 oz of PAG 46
You will use a PAG 46.
8 ounces of PAG 46 ...replace the drier/accumulator and orifice tube as well.Flush out the condensor also. You can use PAG 100 (i have pag 100 in one of my 97's and itseems to put out better than the other 97 with pag 46, but we will have to wait and see which last longer) but a service bulletin came out a couple years ago from GM, telling the dealships to go to the pag 46....But, all pag oil is compatible with all pag oil. For example: 4 oz. of pag 50 + 4 oz. of pag 150= 8 oz. of pag 100... DONT USE THE PAG 150...IT IS JUST TOO THICK for this compressor....If you have a hard time getting it all inside the compressor, pour the remaining oil into the hose that goes from the drier to the compressor.(suction side...where you add 2-12 oz cans of 134a) Then turn it by hand about 12 revolutions.... And dont forget to evac the air from the system. A/C systems cost toooo much to cut corners trying to save 10 bucks.
8 oz..PAG 46 or PAG 100 But nothing over 100 it's to thick and don't flow as well.
r134a: 1.6 lbs oil:GM P/N 12378526(PAG): approximately 2oz per component/ 8oz total
6-ounces of oil and make sure that you prime the compressor as well........ A 1998 Isuzu Trooper with 3.5 engine actually uses 5 oz of pag-46. You can find alot of helpfull information about your vehicle ac system if you go to www.idqusa.com
PAG 46
A complete full will require 19.50 oz of r134a aka freon i would also suggest some compressor oil pag-46
PAG, the same as any other R134a air conditioning system.
PAG oil goes in the air conditioner compressor. It is added in the same place as the refrigerant. However, this oil must be added before the lines for adding the refrigerant are put in place.
It depends on the compressor. Consult your local auto parts store for the correct oil. It could be 46, 100,150 PAG or a Hybrid POE oil.
On a 94 GMC Sonoma 2.2 liter engine the compressor calls for Oil Viscosity/Type Pag 150 and capacity of 9 oz of oil. If you need more information on oil viscosity and oil capacity there is a great web site that can help you with most vehicles. www.idqusa.com
