According to the 1998 Ford Ranger Owner Guide : The 2.5 liter four cylinder engine ( with air conditioning ) has an engine coolant system capacity of 7.2 U.S. quarts So a 50 / 50 mix of antifreeze and preferably distilled water would take : ( 3.6 quarts of antifreeze ) * Ford shows not to exceed 60 % antifreeze
A 1995 Ford Explorer came from the factory with a 50 / 50 mix of distilled water and GREEN color antifreeze ( meeting Ford specification ESE-M97B44-A )
According to the 1996 Ford Taurus Owner Guide : It came from the factory with a 50 / 50 mix of GREEN color antifreeze and distilled water * antifreeze must meet Ford specification ESE-M97B44-A
For a 2000 Ford Taurus : It came from the factory with a 50 / 50 mix of distilled water and GREEN colored antifreeze ( meeting Ford specification ESE-M97B44-A ) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- The 3.0L Vulcan V6 engine cooling system ( and the flex fuel version ) take : ( 5.8 U.S. quarts of antifreeze in the 50 / 50 mix ) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The 3.0L Duratec ( DOHC) V6 engine cooling system takes : ( 5.3 quarts of antifreeze for a 50 / 50 mix ) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ * Ford states to not exceed 60% antifreeze in the mix
I assume your 1994 ( like my 1995 ) ORIGINALLY came with green antifreeze meeting Ford specification ( ESE-M97B44-A ) mixed 50 / 50 with distilled water
Take a look here, if your Ford is a MK2. http://www.fordmondeo.org/wiki/index.php/Fog_Lights_-_Mk2
According to the 1996 Ford Ranger Owner Guide : For the 4.0 liter V6 engine , with air conditioning : ( the engine cooling system capacity is 8.6 U.S. quarts / 8.1 liters ) It came from the factory with a 50 / 50 mix of distilled water and GREEN color antifreeze meeting Ford specification ESE-M97B44-A So , maintaining the 50 / 50 mix you would need : ( *** 4.3 U.S. quarts / 4.05 liters of antifreeze *** ) Ford states not to exceed 60 % antifreeze
According to the ( 1996 ) Ford Aspire Owner Guide : It came from the factory with a 50 / 50 mix of distilled water and GREEN color antifreeze ( meeting Ford specification ESE-M97B44-A ) The engine cooling system capacity is 6.3 U.S. quarts ( so for a 50 / 50 mix it would take 3.15 quarts of antifreeze and 3.15 quarts of preferrably distilled water ) Ford states not to exceed 60 % antifreeze ( which would be 3.78 quarts /almost 1 U.S. gallon )
