A 1995 Ford Explorer came from the factory with a 50 / 50 mix
of distilled water and GREEN color antifreeze ( meeting Ford
specification ESE-M97B44-A )
I assume your 1994 ( like my 1995 ) ORIGINALLY came with green antifreeze meeting Ford specification ( ESE-M97B44-A ) mixed 50 / 50 with distilled water
No it will not fit. The model generations are (1991-1994) and (1995 - not sure). Today I tried to take a 1995 tailgate and install it on my 1991. The hinges and struts will attach just fine, but the tailgates are not the same size.
According to the 1996 Ford Explorer Owner Guide : For the 4.0 liter V6 engine , with air conditioning , the engine coolant system capacity is 8.6 U.S. quarts / 8.1 liters So , a 50 / 50 mix of preferably distilled water and GREEN color antifreeze , meeting Ford specification ESE-M97B44-A , would take *** 4.3 U.S. quarts / 4.05 liters *** Ford states not to exceed 60 % antifreeze in the mix
The Ford Explorer was introduced in 1991. There are no 1990 Explorers to take a transmission from.
5 W 30 is the preferred oil , that's what I've always used in mine
My 1995 Ford Explorer XLT holds 21 U.S. gallons ( 79.5 liters )
Yes it should fit.
A 1998 Ford Explorer uses refrigerant 134a
I was looking at the 1997 Ford Explorer Owner Guide and all it shows is that each remote takes ( 2 ) three volt lithium batteries ( I assume that it would be the same as my 1995 Ford Explorer remotes , and the 1996 Ford Explorer owner guide ) ( each remote takes two # 2016 , three volt lithium coin style batteries )
Take it to a Ford dealership.
probably G12 (the pink stuff)
A 1995 Ford Explorer ( four door ) tank size is ( 79.5 liters / 21 U.S. gallons ) so it depends on what you have to pay for gas and how much gas is already in the tank ( if the tank is empty and you have to pay $ 4.00 per gallon it would cost around $ 84.00 )
