Aquasafe is the least of your worries. That tiny amount of water can be kept in a bucket to let the Chlorine evaporate off in a couple of hours. Your main problem is your 1.66 gallon tank is not really big enough to put any kind of fish in. Tanks are never filled to the brim and they also usually have some gravel or suchlike substrate on the bottom displacing some water. This means you will be lucky to have 1 .25 gallons of water in which to try to keep a fish. The basic rules of fishkeeping are. :- 1 inch of fish needs at least 1 gallon of water. :- Every tank needs a permanently running cycled filter. :- Every tank needs at least 50% of its water changed every week. Fish need to be kept at the correct temperature for their species. They should also be fed morning and evening as much food as they can eat in 15 minutes. No food should ever be left to rot in the tank because it will poison the water. If you follow the above guidelines your fish should survive OK. If you fail in any of the requirements above I can guarantee that your fish will be constantly getting sick and will live a shortened lifespan..

There really isn't much that you can do. The babies will have to fend for themselves. If you have plants and such in the tank they may be able to hide, but a few will be found by hungry adult fish.

No it is totally not safe. DO NOT DO IT!
Inside of the fish tank. Turn the aqua filter off, and you'll see a chest.
For a freshwater tank, its safe to add fish after the the ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels are safe for fish. Ammonia and nitrite should be at 0 ppm and nitrate levels should be very low, under 50 ppm. You should also make sure that other parameters are safe for the species of fish that will be living in the tank.
i hear it maked a great fish fellet
Which of the Aqua One models? They have a variety of tanks in many different volumes. I have two 30 litre ones and a 75 litre one.
