A good quality bass is at minimum 300$, now not to say a bass under that is bad, bass Guitars depend on what genre you play. Example, Fender is a good punk rock bass, but I have a classic Fender P-Bass at 210$. it is an amazing punk bass for the price. So I personally wouldn't relate a bass to money and quality, some bass guitars are good for some kinds of music, and some are not. Find out what genre you like, and buy a recommended bass for that genre.

Well, i'd have to say that the beats are very good quality. But i also really like the extra bass, they are very well constructed as well... but because of the base on the beats i would rate the 5 stars. On the extra basses i would have to give them 4.5 stars. I also like the veriety on the beats: Monster, Solo, Custom, Multiple Colors, Sport teams and a whole lot more. But i also feel like the basses are more classy. So it was really close and its more of a tie. Beats Pro's: Great Base, Amazing quality, Good colors, Customizable. Beat Con's: Charge, expensive ( $100.00 - $300.00). Alright time for the extra basses. Basses Pro's: High quality, Classy, cumfertable, nice sound. Basses Con's: Not alot of color, cushions, kind of expesive (-$180.00). Thats all I have to say about those two great sets of headphones!

I dont know but im looking for a good bass guitar too. Depends on your price range. Personally I realy like Ibanez basses and think they do really good low to mid price range basses. If you are looking at a professional quality basses you should look at Rickenbacker, Musicman (stingray), Fender, Lakland and Shadowsky as they are the main brands for professional basses.

Why are bass guitars so expensive?
You get what you pay for. A good bass guitar has some pretty sophisticated electronics in it as well as finely machined hardware. Additionally there is a lot of woodwork involved, and in order to produce a quality product, you have to start with quality material which is also not expensive. However, that being said, bass guitars and guitars in general have actually gotten quite a bit cheaper in the last 10 years or so. Advances in production techniques have allowed the cheaper makers to make a much higher quality product than they used to. For less than $300 you can usually find a very serviceable and playable bass. That's not to say that the $1000 American made basses don't still have their advantages... but a 2009 cheapy is usually a much better quality instrument than its 1999 (or 1989) equivalent would have been.
