if you just have one parakeet, it needs as much attention as you can provide, because parakeets are naturally in flocks in the wild. a single parakeet will rely on you to be it's flock. if you can't spend much time with it during the day because you work, go to school, etc. then think about getting it a cagemate. i have two males because I'm going to college. they get along fine. you also need to let them out for at least an hour or two a day to play and socialize outside of their cage. =]
As much as you can. Lovebirds like other parrots, are a flock species. They are naturally social, and if denied social interaction, will resort to other less desirable behaviors. Lovebirds also require consistent attention. They will often react poorly to on and off affection. (i.e. they will get mad and bite you).
they eat 3 to 4 times a day
Daily.
On average, 3 hours per day.
The longer the better, and it all depends on you and your schedule. A lone parakeet will benefit and be tamer the longer you spend together.
A parakeet is the easiest type of bird to take care of, but they should only be purchased after carefull research. A parakeet does not need a huge cage, but they will need emotional care. One will need to play with your bird every day, and cage cleaning should happen at least once a week. Basic training will make your bird much easier to handle. Birds and pets in general are a big responsibility, so always consider if a parakeet suits your lifestyle.
I can't tell if this is a dumb question or if you worded it wrong. Anyway, generally they need 12 hours of sleep a day. Some of this they do during the day (like when no one is home) and at night. Make sure you parakeet is getting enough sleep at night.
Well parakeets need to be out of their cage for t least an hour a day, you can have it out longer but if your bird is one that does not like to be messed with I would suggest letting it on top of the cage and carring it just occasionaly.
If you give your parakeet less than 12 hours a day they will not ley eggs
It would be alright as long as the parakeet does not feel sick or frightened at all. If the y feel frightened then the parakeet might die.
some chihuahuas dont shed but all dogs need attention when they are babys but if you get two that are adults then they would keep each other company for some part of the day
As much as the average cat. Not all cats like to be cuddled all day but all cats need attention. Play and cuddle with your cat and see how long it is until the cat squirms or try's to get away. You wont know for sure until you test it.
talk to it and try doing this every day
Yes, it is. A female parakeet can lay 4 to 9 eggs, laying one every second day.
This beast. He's allowed one per day for breakfast.
