Because they don't. It is a lot of agency's policies.
In Part: No it has to be updated if the balance is revolving and going up or down monthly.
can you tell me the answer please?
A debt collector works for a collection agency. If the angency owns the debt then you can request statements. A collection agency will send you a paid or settled un full letter. They are not a billing agency.
Personally speaking, it is better to settle with a collection agency rather than making monthly payments. Theres only one ceveat....you must pay the collection agency in full. Example, lets say you owe $1000 to a credit card company. A collection agency will say, pay $600 NOW and this will settle the balance. So, if you dont have $600, its a 'catch-22'. You are better off making the monthly payments until the $1000 is paid.
Whomever is sending you the bills ... if the collection agency is sending notices, then contact them. You can also contact a debt counseling agency who will offer (for a fee) to intercede on your behalf and possibly get a lower percentage rate and a lower monthly payment. You then pay them the monthly amount due, then they distribute the funds to where they need to go.
What is the Annual Percentage rate set at? Are you making more than the minimum monthly payment? Is the collection agency charging any monthly fees? If you are making a $10.00 a month payment and the finance charges are $8.00, only two dollars is being applied to wards the balance, each month. Check to see how much of your monthly payment is going to the finance charges and then increase your monthly payment to cover the minimum monthly payment and finance charges.
If the debt was properly assigned by the original creditor, yes. If you are making payments to the Original creditor than ask them to pull it back from there Collection agency, then dispute with the CRA's and when they update it should delete
Contact the agency or offices of the people who handle your money.
As a state agency, it would be monthly.
Seek approval for an increase in his/her monthly limit from his/her Agency/Organization Program Coordinator (A/OPC)
YES, it stops collecting intrest when it goes to collections. at that point they have transfered your debt. It then becomes someone elses problem. But they stop collection intrest.
