The Soviet Union contributed greatly to Hitler's defeat. Almost 15 million Soviet soldiers died during WWII. Hitler's offensive into the USSR was a total failure because of the Soviet army and the harsh climate. This includes the two and a half year siege of Stalingrad that exhausted many Nazi supplies and soldiers and was eventually a failure. The Soviet Union contributed greatly to Hitler's defeat.
