It's all dependent on the breeder. Look beyond the price when chosing a purebred dog (not just a Rottweiler). Has the breeder done the recomended health clearances? The recommended health clearances are set by the National breed club.

For Rottweilers, at a minimum, it's hips, elbows, eyes and heart. If the breeder is an ethical breeder, both the sire and dam will have passed all of these health tests and the breeder will have disclosed the results to OFA (Ortopedic Foundation for Animals - www.offa.org).
