Cockatiels are lovely Birds, You can even teach them to talk, I've been to several Pet stores to find my Right bird, and got My cockatiel (Moiee) at a decent Price, Its best to buy them from a young age, so you can tame them and grow them to love you. Prices in the Uk can Range from £20-£40, but don't worry about the price! I paid £28 for mine, but i also saw some for sale for £48! so if you see them at a high price try and look for a lower one because at £48 your more than likely getting ripped off. I also must inform you that if you want one and your parents won't let you let them read this: I bought a cockatiel at £28 and Moiee is Lovely ! One of my Parents were Very worried about him but she loves him very much, they are lovely and love to sing to you when they feel lonely, you can also teach them to talk very quickly as mine picked up the wolf whistle we taught him and he also does a cheeky laugh and this is just after having him for 2-3weeks ! they do require coming out the cage to fly and sit on your lap so make sure your windows and doors are closed, they eat through their food in about 2-3 days and do need there water changing regularly. I hope this Helps.
