They're supposed to cost 89 cents, but they're actually the same price as the cheeseburger, which costs a dollar. Most McDonald's locations don't list this price, intentionally, they list the price of a hamburger Happy Meal because those sell more frequently.

I noticed this being a problem, especially after 'That 70's Show' inspired the menu to have some weekday sales where the price only cost 29 and 39 cents for for the burger and cheeseburger. Sometime after that, they dropped the burger being on the menu. I'm not sure why this was a problem, but I'm a fan of the burger, it's what I typically ordered when I went here.

The television show lasted longer than the deal, because by 2001, that deal was gone (the show lasted till 2006). I believe the deal lasted until 99, but it may have been popular at the location I lived next to, for some reason it was special in the 90's with Sherlock Holmes designs.

Now it's regular, they took out the ball pit and all the fancy Sherlock Holmes decorations. Screw that "Super Size Me" movie.

The real reason why (and I asked a manager at McDonald's this) is because, they didn't want to advertise the price. With the 'Dollar Menu' being popular, people would feel ripped off.

He mentioned to me that the deals they have for the Big Mac are identical, being 99 cents (I mentioned the Whopper used to cost 99 cents back when I was in high school). But now with the dollar menu canceled (where I live), they don't want people to know that a regular burger costs a dollar.

There was a sale for a day, I think it was February 29th of 2010 when it happened, but it was out of nowhere. I'm not positive, but I remember hearing an advertisement on the radio, where the burgers only cost 29 cents each (and a limit of 10 per customer). Somebody can verify that, I'm not too sure how accurate that is.

I enjoy the chicken nuggets, the Big Mac, some fries, but for some reason I really like a regular burger sometimes. No cheese, nothing fancy, just the regular burger with those diced onions.

For some reason when I get a cheeseburger (usually on accident), the cheese they add tastes horrible to me. It works when you order a Big Mac, but for some reason I just don't like having any cheese with a regular burger.

Sorry for drifting off, but yeah. They cost a buck, as of July 2020.
