it would depend on whether the tank is made of glass or acrylic...... but the water alone would tip the scales at around 1200+ pounds.... if it is glass.... just round it up to about 1500 pounds. water weighs about 8.3 pounds per gallon.... i just use 8 and round up a little on the final answer. as a note....acrylic is 1/2 the weight of glass and twice the strength. all of the larger custome systems are made of acrylics. steve **************** BUT THAT CAN'T BE RIGHT. Because 8.3 pounds per gallon, which is correct, at 50 gallons is - 8.3 pounds x 50 gallons. So that's only 415 pounds 'water alone.'
right around 400#.... water is about 8# per gallon.
Roughly 8.5 lbs per gallon. You do the Math.
the weight of the tank will be about 100 pounds
Depends on the size of the aquarium. Water weights 10 pounds per gallon.
Gas is 6.3 lbs. per gallon. 55 gallons of gas will weigh 346.5 lbs. A steel drum will weigh 40 lbs. and a plastic 55 gallon drum will weigh 20 lbs.
One gallon of water weighs 8.33 pounds. fifty gallons would weigh 416.5 pounds
it would weigh about 450 pounds. could you and2 of your friends stand there?
1 gallon of water = 10 pounds so the water in the tank is 3000 pounds but all the rocks and decor take up space so there is less then 300 gallons of water but the decor and stuff weighs more then water
nine hundred fourteen pounds
The weight of a measurement of volume is determined by the mass and weight of the substance whose volume is measured. A gallon may weigh a few ounces, or a gallon may weigh several hundred pounds.
Coins have different weights, so it depends on what kind of coins you're using.
It weights more than 400 lbs. Empty ! Full of water, rocks, decorations and fish will weigh estimated 1 & 1/2 tons
