It varies. If the truck has a sleeper or not and if it has 3 axles or 2. The average is about 10,000 pounds.

As he said it does have a lot to do with the sleeper and axle, But 10,000 would be a lighter truck, My Rig weighs 31,000 truck and trailer, My Trailer is about 10,000 maybe a little less.

Some of the large four axle trucks that you see pulling oversize and windtower units can go up to 28,000 by themselves

The order of over the road trucks kind of follow this pattern from light to heavy

Freightliner

Mack

Volvo

Peterbuilt

Kenworth

Freightliner trucks have some of the lightest over the road trucks on the market but some of the condo sleepers are heavy

Mack can very a great deal depending on the chasis and run fairly close

Volvo can also very a great deal because of the size of the sleepers and are one of the safest trucks on the road

Peterbuilt depends too on chasis and style

Kenworth units with the long nose are almost always heavy I had a W-9 that weighed out at 23,000

How much does a semi truck without trailer weigh?

The weight of the truck depends on the size. If you have a semi truck with a trailer it will weigh less, rather than if it had the trailer it would weigh more. If you have a large engine than it will have less space in the interer and less space inside. If you have bunk-beds than that will take more space, and so on. So really it all depends on the brand,( for interer) size, and truck check.

How much does a logging truck and trailer weigh?

It depends on the year, make, model and engine, but typically the truck itself (without trailer) weighs roughly 7 to 9 tons or 14,000 to 18,000 pounds. This depends on the model and if it is pulling a trailer, and what cargo is in the trailer.Tractor (the truck by itself) 16,000lbs-20,000lbs (8-10 tons)Trailer (empty): 10,000-15,000lbs (5-7.5 tons)Maximum allowed weight (most US highways): 80,000lbs (40 tons)Mine weighs 33,000 pounds empty, or 16.5 tons. It can weigh 80,000 pounds fully loaded, or 40 tons.

Where can you weigh your trailer?

You can weigh your tractor and trailer at any Pilot, Loves, Circle K, any truck stop with a Cat Scale (Big Yellow Sign that says Cat Scale).

How much does a semi truck weigh with no cargo?

16,000 - 20,000 lbs usually for the front part ("truck", "tractor", "cab"). But the empty trailer adds several tons more. For example a 53 foot long simple box ("van") trailer weighs 10,000-15,000 with nothing in it. So a whole 65 foot long empty system (truck and trailer) weighs over 30,000 lbs. Shorter box, flatbed, and covered wagons systems would weigh less. Systems with an extra long truck or specialized systems, like some of those with tank and pumping equipment, may weigh more. Adding to this answer. I have a 2003 kenworth w900 with a stepdeck trailer and i weigh 32,000 empty.

What size truck and trailer is needed to move a Case 450 bulldozer?

The bulldozer will weigh about 13000 lbs depending on attachments. So you will need a truck with a tow rating of 20,000 or higher when the trailer weight is added.

If my tri axle dump truck has a GVW of 70000 can weigh up to that much what if I add a 20000 lb trailer what if I add a 25000 lb machine?

GVW means Gross Vehicle Weight. That's the maximum permissible weight of the truck plus the trailer (in the case of a combination rig) plus the load. Therefore...if you take your dump truck, hook a 20,000-lb empty trailer to it and put a 25,000-lb backhoe on the trailer, the truck needs to weigh less than 25,000 lbs if you want to remain legal.

That is one reason you usually see "weigh stations" very close to the state lines on most interstates and other heavily trafficked highways.

What is the total weight of a 18 foot pontoon boat and trailer without brakes?

Very hard to answer because it varies depending on the weight of the boat and trailer. The best way to determine this is look up the boat model or ask the dealer who sells it how much it weighs. DO the same for the trailer. But the most accurate way is to tow the boat and trailer to a truck scale and weigh them.

How much does just the semi trailer without truck weigh?

Depends on the type. Generally, they can range between 8,000 and 12,000 lbs for the basic types which you normally see, and heavier for specialised units, such as lowboy trailers.
