around 750 to 1000 dollars. That includes having to do the timing belt and change the tension kit.

The 2.5 liter V-6 is a little harder to work on than the 4 cylinder due to limited space.

If the water pump inlet pipe is rusted/corroded at the pump inlet, the o-ring will not seal. The water pump inlet pipe runs down low between the two cylinder banks on the V-6. On the V-6, the replacement of the inlet pipe involves removal of the upper and lower intake manifold sections and fuel injectors and fuel rails. The inlet pipe is hard to find on short notice. Might as well replace the spark plugs and wires while you're at it because the rear plugs are inaccessible with the upper manifold in place. Spend the money on good quality plugs and wires. Add $300 to $600.
