How much does an aviation technician earn?

i start school for aviation tech this fall and heres a few things i learned so far:

aviation technology, often called flight technology, covers a lot of possibilites from CFI (certified flight insructor) which is very low pay as low as $10.00 / hour to commercial pilot which tops out at a bit over $100,000 / year - aviation degrees can be used for non flying jobs such as management but are usually for flying careers - aircraft maintenance and aviation engineering are separate fields but aviation technology can be a stepping stone to other careers

unless you plan on flying the heavy aircraft pay is not likely to be very high - the cost of flight tech school and training is rather high and is not usally completely covered by financail aid - flight training alone will run at least $30,000 since you need a minimum 250 hours flight time most of which is in twins

i chose this field entirely because i love to fly - i don't care if the money isn't great which is a good thing because i only like to fly the smaller planes which doesnt pay real well - i plan on being a future Cessna stationair 206 owner and want to be able to make enough money with it to pay for the plane and flight time and the avaition tech school is a great way to help acheive that

Maintenance Side

I am guessing the question pertains more towards the maintenance side of aviation. There is a large range but starting out it will be on the lower side of the spectrum 25,000$ a year. A good experience mechanic could make 50k+ or more.
