I go Kaplan University campus in Hagerstown, Maryland. They are regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, A Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA). Kaplan University, Which is based in Davenport, Iowa. The cost for a two year AA degree is about $ 31,000.00 The entrance into Kaplan University is very easy. You must have graduated from high school or have a GED. Pass the Wonderlic entrance test and score atleast a 20 on it. This is the same test that the NFL use on their players. This twelve minute test is easy to pass. I do expect later that Kaplan University will have higher entrance standards in the near future.

WARNING!!!

When choosing a college or university, make sure the institution has a regional accreditation. With a regional accreditation you can be assured the coursework and degree you complete will be recognized by all other colleges and universities as well as employers. Below I have listed the six accrediting agencies and their geographical areas of responsibility. I am disclosing the below so you do not become a victim of educational scams, and institutions that are nothing more than diploma mills, where they are eager to take your money for a degree that is worthless. Make sure the institution is accredited by one of following responsible agencies.

Regional Accreditation Agencies

· Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools - Educational institutions in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands, as well as schools for American children in Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.

· New England Association of Schools and Colleges - Educational institutions in the six New England states (Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont).

If one was to wanted to attend a out of state community college and one only wanted to receive a associates degree would that be a good plan for them?

To go out of state for a 2 year college will cost you more because you aren't a resident of that state. It is fine to go for a AA, but do it close to home because it will cost you much more if you don't.
