Even if it's a small hole , you are calling out a tradesman to do a job. I have a 2 hour minimum regardless of how small the job is. How else could they account for driving to your house and back to the next job. -However, I will tell you how to do your own repairs. If it is truly small, less than postage stamp size, get a caulk gun, a tube of 'Alex ll' and a small plastic spatula. Caulk the Alex into the hole, then immediately smooth it over with the spatula. Now leave it 24 hours to dry and shrink, then give a second coat. this time be careful to leave no ridges or visible edges. After this dries use a good primer on it. - - If the hole is more than 3-4 inches, don't despair, we just use different stuff. In this case get a kit called 'Fibatape Crackstop' and a small bucket of drywall compound (both from Home Depot ) -The kit has full instructions and I don't need to repeat . This way you have the satisfaction of doing a job yourself AND saving 80-100 dollars.
How large is 'large' - I regularly repair fist sized holes in less than an hour.
It will cost about $1.40 per square foot to texture drywall. The total will generally depend on the amount of texture you're looking to get done on your drywall.
how much will it cost to rip out 1300 sq ft of drywall and insulation and replace said
Depends where you are , but usually about 20% more than regular drywall.
$4.44 for a sheet of 4x8 1/2 in drywall at menards in Morris Illinois
The cost of repairing drywall damage would depend on how much damage is done. If you were to buy the drywall it ranges from $10 to $30 a sheet. Plus if you hired someone then it would cost more for labor then it would if you did it yourself.
???
Drywall labour costs depend largely on where you do them. Labour costs across north America differ locally.
In most areas it cost less than 50 c a square foot to buy.
In western Canada, about 36 cents a sq.ft.
About 38 cents per square foot at current board costs.
It costs around $30 to $45 / sheet and $1.50 for /foot
The last one I bought was a 1" hole saw for tile It cost $15 in Home Depot.
