It really depends what kind of pet how big the cage is and where you're going and with which airline. I recently shipped my cat from Canada to the States. I had to make sure that the flight connected to another flight of the same carrier/airline (or affiliate of) in order to not pay the rate again. From what I saw in research was that it cost about 100$ for a sm/med cage. If the flight is not direct and there is a layover or next day flight you must also think about boarding your pet overnight. The cost to me was approx 350$ after all was said and done (flight, overnight boarding, flight).

Cost varies amongst airlines. Also keep in mind there are restrictions that are based on the weather, health of pet and sometimes the breed.

Around $120 for a small dog that will sit under your seat. For a large dog that will go in baggage, I do not know.
