There are multiple means for transporting a body from Oregon to California. Due to the originating point, the logistics require either paying a funeral service to deliver the body, whereby the pricing would be by the mile, plus accommodation costs, and most likely a per diem for the drivers.
Alternatively, the body could be delivered from Grants Pass to Portland, whereby Amtrak cargo services are used, to transport the body to Union Station, in Los Angeles, and then collected by the local funeral service.
In some locations, there may still be bus cargo services available as well. In addition to the transport costs, there would also be containment fees for the casket. Due to the size of many caskets, they fall into a different category in pricing and therefore draw a higher tariff with commercial carriers. Consequently, it may be more economical to ship the body with a (made for purpose) travel casket, then arrange to purchase the casket you wish to use locally. Regardless of which methodology you choose, the overall price will be quite high.
An alternative is to consider is local cremation without services, then ship the cremains via an expedited carrier such as UPS or FEDEX, or even the Postal Service.
Occasionally, whilst not the optimum choice for families, practicalities must prevail, especially when it comes to realising what the overall costs will be.
it depends who or what company is going to transport it anywhere around the world
