Well it depends what type of hamster you want- if you want a syrian hamster; they are about $10-$25 dollars at Petco; but if you want a dwarf hamster they are about $6-$25 dollars. Then again, Syrian hamsters are on the first level of being endangered so you have to take great carefor them. But if you just want one to have as a great pet, Dwarf Hamsters are better. In my opinion Dwarf Hamsters are better. Hope this helped!
very little, about £30 a year for all of the food and bedding and toys
it costs from 30 - 100 pounds to have a hamster ( inculdin cage water suplies n stuff )
thnx Jordan shephard
hamsters are reasonably easy pets to keep but you still need to be comitted to them! they need to be cleaned out once a week, fed every day, and played with at least once every 2 days!
To take good care you have to pay a lot don't harm it.
It isn't very hard. I once had 15, and it still wasn't very hard.

it is about $70 a year
I had this exact problem with one of my hamsters. This is serious and can cause the hamster a lot of pain. It is likely the hamster will need to be put down. You need to take the hamster to the vets as soon as possible, as it is not fair to keep it alive under such circumstances.
I have never heard of anyone keeping a hamster outdoors.
get rid of your hamster and get a new one NO DONT LISTEN TO THE ONE THAT SAYS, "get rid of your hamster and get a new one" YOU TAKE YOUR HAMSTER TO THE VET IMMEADIATELY!!! IT COULD BE A UTI. UTI could be fatal to a hamster's life. In the meantime after you make the vet appointment, try giving your hamster some water by a dropper because they could be dehydrated. UTI is very painful to hamsters so don't handle it often and keep it comfortable. Make sure the room tempature is comfortable for the hamster. And make sure it has fresh food and water. The hamster may be a little sluggish and not move around much but that is only because it is tired and in pain.
Well if you take away all of her babies then yes she will feel some lonesome and it may cause her to wine, scratch, runny nose. But if you leave at least one baby hamster with her she will not be upset and none of those symtyms above will happen. So i recomend you sell all of them(exept one.)and give the one you have not sold to the mother hamster and take care of her. p.s. you will not have to take care of the baby as much as you take care of the mother because the mother will take care of the baby but do feed her and love her as the mother hamster does. I HOPE I HELPED!!!(: MERRY CHRISTMAS!
the best cage for a hamster (if you have a cat) would be a plastic one not a wire cage. but still keep the cage away from your cat as much as you can so the cat doesn't knock it over or something.
One quite simple way is to take the hamster to a vet if you would like to spend the money to keep him alive.
You need to take your hamster to see a vet. He or she may have broken a bone or more than one. For now, don't take your hamster out of his or her cage as this may cause him or her more pain
It's possible, but most likely no. If your other hamster died, then play with it, and keep it happy and not lonely. Or you can clean out the cage, and then buy another hamster for her/him to play with. Then she will be happy, and the other one she would forget about. It's possible, but most likely no. If you want to. But if you do they MIGHT kill the babies or take over and care for the other hamster's babies.
Well that depends if it was due to disease take her to the vet and do what he tells you to do. If she lost it in a fight take her to the vet and keep her away from other hamsters
No!They'll fight to death! NEVER put 2 differnent types of hamsters in one cage NEVER!
take it to the vet... please... Edit: My friend's hamster had babies, and she was holding one and it jumped out of her hand. It fell about 3 feet, and broke its back and died. I would be extremely cautious not to disturb your hamster, and do take it to a small animal vet.
