Nurses work with clients of all ages and with a variety of conditions and in a variety of setting. Nursing is an autonomous profession. The nursing profession is highly relational with emphasis on the nurse client relationship. Advanced communication skills are needed. Medical assisting would be more technical and less relational. Any job that is "assisting" is not autonomous as you are taking direction from someone else.
