How much engine oil does a 1997 Honda cbr900RR take?

i have a 97 cbr900rr, i drain the oil, ( warm) remove fliter, ( clean area making sure old gasket came off with filter, inspect area around oil cooler for leaks, and install new filter, ( coat new gasket with NEW oil) tighting hand snug, then i tighten hand tight, i know some might not like that but i get it pretty good, never had a problem in 20 years of changing oils, so yes i hand tight it, then add 3 quarts of oil, i prefer AMSOIL 10w30 motorcycle oil, its 8 bucks whole sale with my membership then i also use 1/2 quart of LUCAS FULL synthitic oil treatment, to it, and i have always been right at the lower line of my sight glass, my 97 has a sight glass that when you stand it strait up, the oil should rise right in the middle of the two lines, i prefer the oil right at the bottom mark, just My opinon, hope that helps
