The determining factor is not the engine between the two versions; it's the tires. The chip that governs the car's top-speed is tied to the rating of the tires. It is possible to purchase (from the dealer) alternate chips that raise the top-end speed. Though they will typically require the tires to be rated for the speed. The 4.0 tops out at +/- 125mph "out-of-the-box". The alternate chip with v-rated tires is supposed to add 10 -15 mph.
well the 4.0 engine has 250 HP at 4400 rpm and the other one only has 215 HP at 4400 rpm i dont know 0 - 60 times though
I have had both models. Coincidentally both 2001's. The 4.0 is much faster. My current 4.0 was built for sale in Canada and has no governor. I've had it well past 140. The 4.0 gets to 60 bout a half second faster and has a lot more passing power.
18.5 US Gallons
The Aurora is faster. I have one myself. It has 50 more horses then a Grand Prix GT, and it is also faster then the supercharged Grand Prix GTP. Not much faster, but it is.
