5 pounds of food

Catching food and out running a lion. They need 65 pounds of food a day.
That'd only be applicable to meerkats in zoos. And zoos will often feed animals several times a day to keep them occupied.
There is no certain times a day. A cheetah will eat whenever it can catch it's food.
Yes, cheetahs hunt. They're carnivores and not scavengers, so it's not like it has much choice. Cheetahs rely on their speed to catch mainly smaller antelopes, and since they hunt by speed they have to do their hunting by day.
about $5 to $12 pr. person... :) Save
Zoos give each animal what they usually enjoy in the wild. Each animal gets three squared meals a day. For example, every day, 3 times a day, birds get mice. Rabbits and horses enjoy eating hay. Lions always enjoy eating fresh meat. Zoos grow the animals with plentiful supplies of food every day.
Cheetahs are active at hunting during the day.

They need about 6 pounds of meat a day to keep their energy up.
Ellen S. Dierenfeld of the New York Zoological Society actually surved a number of zoos in the US and found that the average cheetah in captivity consumed about 1.32 kg (just under 3 pounds) of food daily. That's a little over 482 kg per year. It's estimated that this is approximately the same amount that cheetahs eat in the wild also. Cheetahs are carnivores, so figure out what 482 kg of meat would cost, and you'll have a ballpark answer. If you can get meat for $3 a pound, it's about $3200. 10 of the 13 zoos surveyed fed their cheetahs a specific product (Nebraska Brand Canine Diet ... we know, they're not "canines", but it turns out it's a pretty good food for them; it's somewhat higher in protein and lower in fat than their "Feline Diet" product) supplemented with the occasional (1-2 times a week) whole chicken or rabbit, or the shank or ribs from an ox or horse.
well actualy camels can go monthes without food and weeks without water
