Well, like babies, puppies have small tummys. So the best thing for a six week old puppy would be, three or four meals a day: about 1/2 cup in the morning, 1/4 cup next meal, another 1/4 cup next meal, and a 1/3 cup at night. This is about one and a third cups of food per day. Sometimes though, puppies need more food, so f this seems like it's not enough, and your puppy is looking at his empty bowl, searching for food, then bump up one of his 1/4 cup meals, to a 1/3 cup or 1/2 cup. When they are six months old, they should eat only two meals a day, but with larger portions: 1 1/2 cups in the morning, 1 1/2 cups at night. As they grow more, 2 cups in morning and night.
