56 US gallons
I have a model 172K 1969 manufacture Cessna Skyhawk. It has 38 Gallons usable and 4 gallons unusable therefore the fuel total it will hold is 38+4=42 Gallons.
The 56 Gallon answer isn't clear about which model it is and they do vary by model.
20.3 gallons
Depending on the engine in a 172 they will burn from 6-10 gallons per hour
Cessna C-150 can hold 1 passenger. Cessna C-172 can hold 3 passengers
100 LL Avgas.
My Cessna 172 (C172) holds 200 liters. 100 in the left wing and 100 in the right wing.
Standard tanks hold 42 gal. long range tanks hold 56 gal.
No. The Cessna 172 is a single engine aircraft. It has a 4 seat cabin.
Depends on the model and tanks, but 38 usable is quite standard.
Cessna 172s hold 56 gallons of fuel. At Felts Field in Spokane, 100LL aviation gasoline is $6.27 per gallon as I write, so it would cost $351.12 to take the plane from completely empty tanks to completely full ones.
It depends entirely on the aircraft, type of fuel, how much fuel and where you are in the world. For instance, to fill a Cessna 172 in Canada or US would cost about as much as filling an average minivan, - a 747 would be a bit more - -
The Cessna 172 Skyhawk is a small light aircraft first flown in 1955. Images of the Cessna 172 Skyhawk can be found on line and in aircraft industry literature.
Most small engine aircraft such as Cessna's use a low leaded gas, usually blue in colour. But a lot of Cessna's can be converted to use regular gas that you would use in a car.
