I don't remember what my 95 900 had for a gas reserve...but for those who do know such details, it would help for you to say what year 900 you are asking about, as the car changed greatly between the early 90s and later...
=====
What year 900 is very important as the gas tanks changed over the years. The specifications for a 1979 are different than a 1989 or a 2nd generation 900 (1994-on). In general, figure about a gallon remaining when the low fuel level light comes on. It may be more, but it is not the same for all 900s.

The cost to fill a Saab 900 tank depends on the current price of gasoline and the tank's capacity. The Saab 900 typically has a fuel tank capacity of around 15.9 gallons. Therefore, if gas prices are approximately $3.50 per gallon, it would cost around $55.65 to fill the tank. Prices may vary based on location and fluctuations in fuel costs.

First: it probably isn't. Saab only ever made about 7,000 of them. And all the decorative and "exterior performance" items, like the wheels and the side skirts, that were on the SPG cars could also have made their way to a regular 900. The only way to tell if you have a real, genuine, Saab 900 SPG is to pop the hood and look for the Automatic Power Control box - the device that keeps your car from blowing up if you put too-low octane gas in it. On ordinary Saab Turbos, the APC box is black. On an SPG, it's red.

Best I have had for a 900 is about 25 mpg. I drive hard though, if your more conservative in your driving maybe, if everything if in great condition 27-29 mpg
