A 2003 eMac can support a maximum of 1GB (gigabyte) of memory. They originally had 128 MB (megabyte) or 256 MB and their original hard discs were either 40GB, 60GB or 80GB depending upon the particular model. How much memory is needed depends upon what kind of work is intended to be done on the eMac.

Go to the link I will post and allow Crucial to scan your mac with their software. They will tell you exactly what you can install and what you will need. FYI, if possible buy as much ram as your iMac can use. 1 GB is not enough so get at least 2 GB if your iMac will run it.
Mac Mini's vary drastically in cost, related to the amount of RAM and the size of the hard drive. Prices range from $140 for a refurbished model with 512 MB of RAM, a 60 GB hard drive, and a 1.5 GHz processor to $2,200 for a new model with 16 GB of RAM, a 16 GB hard drive, and a 2.6 GHz processor. Despite the wide range of prices, an average, middle of the road, Mac Mini model can be found for between $400 and $800.

The Microsoft Office suite for Macs is usable on a Mac computer running Mac OS X. The specific requirements for the current version are: Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later RAM 1 GB Hard Disc 2.5 GB
You will need probably around 7-8 GIGAbytes by the time it is patched up to the current live version. Once it is installed though, you can delete the patch files and it will bring it down to around 3 gigabytes.
It requires very little space, maybe around 15 MB to start, but can get up into the gig's if you have a lot of different world saves. The single player world saves are in your ".minecraft" folder ("Application Support/ minecraft" for Mac).
