The Korean War proved to the world that only "Limited Wars" (non-nuclear) will have to be fought in the future (Vietnam War). The world also learned that they did NOT like "Limited Wars." Limited Wars appear to be futile to society.
Other than technical advances in military war machines (e.g. the F-86 Sabre Jet in Korea, developed into the F-100 Supersabre Jet in Vietnam, etc.); nothing changed. North Korea & South Korea before the war, remained North Korea & South Korea after the war.
Only the reality that TOTAL wars could no longer be fought without risking "mutually assured destruction." From Korea onward...LIMITED wars would be the norm (Vietnam).
