A b16a2 has 170 Bhp @ 7800 rpm and 116 lbs of torque @ 5200 rpm
the b16a2 is alot better because it is a DOHC(dual over-head cam) VTEC which makes 160 hp. the d16z6 is a SOHC(single over-head cam) which makes about 110-120 hp.
160 hp to the crank i believe, but to the wheel is probably considerably less with only 111 foot pounds of torque.
i say if u want low end torque but want more hp then go with the b16a2 the engine and tranny just are the perfect match for eachother make great power if u know how to build it from the ground up these engine could take real beatings without sleeving so b16a2 any day
No , all engine's before 1995 where obd1 after 1995 obd2. Same goes for the b16a2 , if you have for instance a engine from a '94 Del Sol vti (b16a2) It is obd1. Lex

Depends on sub-model (ex,lax, dx,cx,Si, etc) Ex: d16y8, 1.6L SOHC VTEC with 127 hp Si: b16a2 1.6L DOHC VTEC with 160 hp and only had a 5-speed manual transmission, no automatic option. All others (lx, dx, etc) have a d16y7 non-VTEC rated at 106 hp
Its a B16A2 DOHC VTEC
