Best Answer

1 standard Teaspoon is 5 millilitres (which is the same as 5 cubic centimetres).

However, in old measurements, 1 Teaspoon [UK] = 3.5516328125 cubic centimetres and 1 Teaspoon [US] = 4.9289215938 cubic centimetres.

Teaspoons measure volume and mg measure weight, so there is no universal conversion factor - the conversion factor depends on what substance you are measuring. There are 4.9 ml in a US teaspoon, so you need to figure out the density of the substance and work from there.

If you are trying to measure a dose of something in solution, you need to know the concentration of the solution. The concentration should be listed on the bottle, probably in mg / ml (if not, convert). Multiply mg / ml by 4.9 to get mg / teaspoon.

2 teaspoons is the same as 10mL because one tablespoon is 15mL and it takes 3 teaspoons to make a tablespoon, so 15mL divided by 3 is 5ml. That means each teaspoon is 5mL.
