July 10, 2009 A circulated 1954-S Washington quarter is worth $6-$7 Uncirculated coins are worth $8 in MS60, $10 in MS63, $13 in MS64, $25 in MS65, $65 in MS66, $1800 in MS67.
MS67 is a really, really nice coin. 70 is the highest you can get and there really aren't many. The coins in your pocket are probably 5 or 10 out of 70. Maybe 20 if one is really nice.

If there is no mint mark, then it was minted in Philadelphia. If the entire coin is worn totally smooth then it's worth scrap silver value. A well circulated one is worth about $5 or so, higher for better condition, uncirculated 1902s are worth from about $90 to $100 for an MS60, to $10,000 depending on condition... from unworn but nicked up slightly (MS60) to the finest known examples (MS67+) commanding $10,000.
