I took mine to Tune-Up Masters and I was charged 159.99 because of the extra labor they had to do. On Montero Sports they have to remove the air intake to reach the other spark plugs.
1hour labour $55-80 1 alternator about $190 total about $245-270 Maximum
if you do it yourself about 70.00 take it to a shop about 300.00
about $150 for the alternator and 1/2 hr labor or shop minimum charge - my guess $215 - $225
if you want just another factory motor dropped in it that would caused $1950-$2300
I just replaced the alternator on my 2002, 6 cylinder, jeep liberty sport. The cost for the alternator itself came out to $174.99, including taxes it came out to $192.14. I did the labor myself and it was the worst 4 hours of my life.
