Who is the inventor of the m4?
No one can claim solo credit for making the world first M4. Eugene Stoner invented the AR10(7.62x51mm) in 1955 but it was turned down by the army. In 1960 Stoner's chief assistant, Jim Sullivan and Robert Fremont scaled the AR10 to take the smaller 5.56x45mm cartridge naming it the AR15, the army classified it as the M16 and the M4 is just a cut down M16. In the mid 1960's Colt made the CAR-15 which was the first attempt at making a M16 both more compact and modular to fit any need the Military may have, but never made it to full production. Over years of the Car-15 and others like it have become the M-4 we know today. I know long answer.

The AR15 in .223 will not meet those standards. A larger AR, such as the AR10, could meet them. No fully automatic firearms may be used for hunting.

The SR-25 is a fine rifle which in the hands of a trained and skilled shooter is very capable from mid to the lower spectrum of long range and it's kin, the U.S. Army's M110 is extensively used in combat by Army snipers and designated Marksmen in Afghanistan. It has been the rifle of choice for the U.S. Navy SEALS snipers for many years. While a semi-auto. It uses the AR direct impingement system. Which allows greater follow-up shot capabilities than a bolt rifle. For greater range and caliber options and bullet weight. A bolt rifle in .338 Lupua is the choice of many long range precision shooters. Accuracy International Inc.
