Best Answer

rent varies with the location and city of the salon in my experience working in Southern California the rents can start as low as $ 100.00 a week at a lo end salon meaning not a heavy trafic area and go up to about $350.00 a week but a busy hairdresser can do that in 2 clients and the rest is yours to be made. you must have a steady clientele in order to work as a renter or you can really get in deep debt . i started to rent after 8 years of working in a commission salon. wish i did it sooner it is great ! hope this answer clears some things :)))))

Not necessarily. Anyone can own a salon (a business). That person is not allowed to perform any services on anyone.
