The prices have been released. I am afraid for the UK it is not cheap. it is 30 pounds to buy the game. After buying the game you get a 30 day free trial. But I am afraid I do not know what happens after that if you did not like the game. If you do like the game you have to fork out another 70 pounds to play for a year.

Lego Universe, if you play it a lot, is worth the money. If you only would like to play maybe once every few weeks it is definitely not. The software is 40 USD and most of that is for the software license. It enables you to install it on any number of computers and not get smashed by the fist of the law. There is also a subscription for the game. for one month, it is 10 USD; for six, 50 USD, and for 12, 90 USD.
What happens if Lego Universe game time runs out?
I know the answer from personal experience. When you log in normally, it would take you to your character page. If your game time has run out, when you login, it will say, "Sorry! You are out of Lego Universe game time. Please visit the LEGO site." Or something like that. Then you go to the Lego universe website, (see related link below) and at the bottom of the page, it will say "subscription". Click on it, login with your Lego ID, and you can buy more game time.
