Actually, a decently sized amount of people have Central Heterochromia and neither is it very rare to have Sectoral Heterochromia. As for the numbers, I don't know the exact percent.
Approximately 1% of the world's population is estimated to have heterochromia, a condition characterized by having different colored eyes. This can either be genetic or acquired later in life due to injury or disease.
My son has sectoral heterochromia. I just found out there's a name for it! I used to say he was from outer space! I have central heterochromia.
I also have sectoral heterochromia. I found out when I was 8 and since then, I have tried to find out everything about it! I don't have any idea why I have it though because both of my parents have normal eyes. My mother has grown eyes and my father, hazel. I have brown eyes, but my sectoral heterochromia eye has hazel in it too. I don't have any family members at all that have sectoral or central heterochromia.Sometimes it doesn't make sense.
Only about 1percent of the world has sectoral heterochromia, but I am not sure about the other types.
Rough estimates place it around 20% or about 1.5 billion people
China makes up approximately 18.47% of the world's population.
