The service manual calls for GN4 4-Stroke Motor Oil 10W-40 in the front transfer case that is located at your front right foot. It calls for 6.8oz.
Under the left engine case. Buy a Honda service manual, that will help.
Transfer cases are not like Transmissions they don't have drain pans. They only have drain and fill plugs. Transfer cases do not have filters either.

ive always put 80w gear oil in my transfer case on my 97 300 Honda fortrax but after a while it started to make a sound since then i ve been puttin transmission oil in it a have had no problems
A 1995 Dodge Ram does not have a transfer case control module. The transfer case is mechanically controlled.
