Without a doubt the 1.9 cdti is much faster, and more economical, i own one and i think it's awesome, the pulling power is great. Thanks vauxhall, shame about the handbrake, grrrrrr.
can you change the injector tubes and seals without removing the cylinder head on a 1.7 cdti Vauxhall combi and is it much of a job
£800 at Vauxhall franchised garage!
$23
It's a diesel. These are a newer breed of engine in which the diesel is pumped at much higher pressure. The jet could drill a hole in a concrete wall. Also known as 'common-rail' diesel. Each manufacturer has it's own specific name. Mercedes is CDI, Peugot is HDi, Ford is TDCi, Vauxhall is CDTi etc.
how much does a cam shaft cost please on a vauxhall astra, 1996, 1.4litre engine size?
A Vauxhall Asta starter motor will cost about 300 dollars. It will also cost about 50 dollars for labor if that service is needed.
scrap yard 50pounds in total for parts
Different tires from different manufactures run at different pressures. On the sidewall, it should tell what the pressure should be for that particular tire.
about 10 pounds for the balljoint and 20 for labour in local garage any more and u have been ripped off
The full kit (belt and tensioner) is around 40-60 gbp and 50-70 labour
The Astra will be much better as you will mostly drive on the motorway however it will cost more as the lowest amount of litre for a Astra is 1.4 and a corsa is 1.0 but a Astra will have more expensive insurance and road tax and petrol however the Astra is a very reliable and strong built car but I will advise you to buy a Audi a3 or either a vw golf new model.
